Erin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who enjoys working with clients to find creative solutions to problems and to discover new ways of looking at life’s challenges. She is a board member of the Iowa Mental Health Counselors Association.

As a fluent Spanish speaker (Spanish is her second language, learned while living in Chile), Erin completed her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University, which specializes in training bilingual therapists to be culturally competent in their work with Latino clients. She has experience working with immigration issues and stress, families adjusting to life in a new home, and trauma. She also administers psychological evaluations for immigration proceedings.

Erin enjoys working with individual adults and adolescents, couples, families, and groups.  As an adjunct professor at DMACC and Drake University, she also understands the pressures facing college students and enjoys working with them to reach their full potential. She also has experience working with chronic pain patients.

She believes that people are always capable of change; one of her first questions to you might be about what changes you’ve noticed since deciding to come to therapy. She is committed to using evidence-based treatment and to providing effective treatment to her clients.

Erin loves counseling and teaching, but also enjoys spending time with her two young sons and her husband.
