Julie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated from Drake University with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Prior to her graduate schooling, Julie had over 12 years of experience working in human services with a wide array of populations. Julie is also trained in EMDR, an evidence based practice that treats many anxiety-based issues as well as trauma.
 
Julie is passionate about mental health and believes everyone has the tools within themselves to lead a fulfilling life they love. Julie uses a person-centered approach, meeting the individual where they are and walking alongside them. Julie believes in a holistic approach and recognizes the importance of including all parts of self in the therapeutic process.
 
Julie is the Family Institute Coordinator, working with families to rebuild strong, healthy, and lasting connections.
