Katrina works from our Indianola location

Katrina is a licensed mental health counselor who earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado-Denver. Katrina has over 16 years of experience and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based trauma treatment. She has extensive experience working with at-risk and delinquent youth, as well as adults who have experienced adverse life circumstances and trauma. Katrina believes the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship and sees therapy as a collaborative process with her clients.  She believes we all encounter difficult experiences and these experiences do not have to define us.
As a clinical supervisor, Katrina enjoys helping newly licensed therapists build their skills, confidence, and ability to advocate for their clients. She also emphasizes the importance of instilling hope and ensuring unconditional positive regard in therapeutic work.
